The new website of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), which was launched on 24 April 2023, follows the guiding principles of customer focus and improved user experience. New innovative features such as a new look and feel, content tailored to different audience segments, and an improved integrated search function are all part of the updated website to meet the needs of both IP professionals and non-experts.

The new features include tailored content for all users, from IP experts to non-experts, so that they can easily access relevant information based on their IP knowledge. In addition, the new website, which is being built in place of other applications, includes new authentication mechanisms and an improved registration process to ensure a secure and easy operation.

The EUIPO will also introduce a number of other improvements for its customers. Improvements to the industrial design registration application form are also planned, as well as a new user area which will be launched at the end of this year.

Furthermore, new releases are scheduled for the API (Application Programming Interface) platform, which will result in significant time savings for big filers with their own IT system. In addition, the EUIPO plans to share the tools of the conducting experts with all its customers through an upcoming “pre-assessment” tool. This new tool aims to reduce disadvantages and speed up the trademark registration procedure.
