Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund, which was established at the end of 2020, will provide grants for the registration of trademarks, designs, and patents in the period 2021-2025. The fund is intended for companies that want to protect their trademarks and/or industrial designs at the national, regional, EU, or international level, as well as to protect their patents at the national level.
Тhe Fund will reimburse 75% of the state fees for applications for registration of trademarks and designs at the national, regional, or European level.
What will be the grant in 2022-2024?
The grant will be equal to:
- 75% of the state fees for applications for registration of trademarks and designs at national, regional or European level;
- 50% of the state fees for applications for registration of trademarks and designs at the international level;
- 50% of the state fees for patent registration at the national level.
What are the conditions for approving the SME’s?
- Only micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as self-employed persons based in one of the 27 Member States of the European Union, will be able to benefit from the grant.
- You must have a bank account certificate from the bank in PDF format with the following information: company name as an account holder and BIC/SWIFT code.
When can you apply?
The application takes place in the period 2021-2025. For 2025 you can apply for the entire period between 03.02.2025 – 05.12.2025.
How to apply?
Applying consists of several steps. First of all, an online application form should be filled in and sent. You will receive an email confirming receipt of the application. If the application is approved, you will receive a grant decision signed by the Office within 15 days.
Next, you should apply for registration of your chosen object of intellectual property (trademark, industrial design, or patent) and pay the state fees within one month of receiving the decision to grant the funds. The one-month period may be extended once with another one month.
Finally, once you have paid the state fees, you should apply for reimbursement using the link in the grant decision. After approval of the submitted information and documents, the payment will be made within one month, of which you will be notified by e-mail.
