On February 4, 2025, new Methodological Guidelines for the Application of Art. 11 and Art. 12 of the Trademarks and Geographical Indications Act were approved by the President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria, Olya Dimitrova, which enter into force from the date of approval. The purpose of the Methodological Guidelines is to unify the application of Art. 11 and Art. 12 of the Trademarks and Geographical Indications Act in proceedings before the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria, and also to regulate basic principles, illustrated with examples.
