On June 10, 2020, the Enterprise Europe Network at the BCCI organized a webinar on “Rules for online merchants and resolving consumer disputes”, which aroused great interest from both business and professionals. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and were acquainted with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, with special attention paid to the trader-consumer relationship, the right of withdrawal, the right to return goods, complaints, and more. The issue of applicable law and competent courts in cross-border sales inside and outside the EU, as well as alternative dispute resolution, was also addressed. The role of the EPC in cross-border cases was also presented, as well as the platform for resolving disputes in online sales.
