A new intellectual property enforcement tool called ACRIS has been developed

July 06, 2016

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in cooperation with the European Commission had developed an anti-counterfeiting tool called ACRIS (Anti-Counterfeiting Rapid Intelligence System) whose aim is to unite in one single database all data related to cases of intellectual property infringement affecting EU companies in countries outside the EU. Companies are allowed to share intellectual property infringements and information about the resolution of their cases. The tool aims to mitigate the risk of future infringements.

The tool is free and multilingual and can be accessed at https://www.tmdn.org/acris/.
