Seminar on “Internet liberalization – challenges and good practices for intellectual property”

The World Intellectual Property Day 2016 in Bulgaria was celebrated on 26 and 27 April with a national seminar with international participation on “Internet liberalization – challenges and good practices for intellectual property” organized by the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies and the University Youth Academy of Knowledge Management. The event is included in the calendar of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

In order to deliver quality services Krasimira Kadieva, who is an IP lawyer in Bulgaria, attended the seminar, which was also attended by many colleagues – specialists in the field of intellectual property. Twenty-six presentations were presented during the event, where the topics corresponded with this year’s motto announced by WIPO, namely: “Digital creativity. Culture reimagined. The following questions were discussed during the forum: Intellectual property act on the Internet in Bulgaria?, Information sources on the Internet; Publishing rights in the digital business environment; Modification of intellectual property on films on the Internet; Arbitration in domain name disputes; Photography as an object of intellectual property; Legislative base regulating the media industry in Bulgaria and many other themes.
