From January 1, 2016, a new version of the tenth edition of the International Classification of Goods and Services (Nice Classification) will come into effect and it is advisable to be used for registration of trademarks. The new version includes changes to the list of goods and services. The new version of the Nice Classification will be used to applications that are filed on or after January 1, 2016, and it will not affect the submitted applications before that date. Applicants are advised to use the new version of the Nice Classification of goods and services, which will come into effect from January 1, 2016.
