In January 2019, a client contacted us, with whom we have worked on a number of projects over the last year. This time the client approached us in connection with his desire to register a combined national service mark in Classes 35,38,39 and 41 of the Nice Classification of Goods and Services. We explained to the client about the trademark registration process and provided him with materials containing useful information about trademarks such as an e-book and a brochure. We then proceeded to the next step, which is to carry out a preliminary trademark search to determine whether the mark is registered and whether it infringes someone else’s earlier rights. The mark turned out to be distinctive enough and no earlier similar marks were found, which is why we filed the mark for registration at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria. The application successfully passed the formal and absolute grounds for refusal expertise and was published in the Bulletin of the Patent Office. Within the stipulated time limit of three months, no objections and oppositions were filed and the mark was registered in September 2019 after we paid the second installment of the state fee, which is a registration fee, a fee for issuing of a certificate for registration and publication of the registered mark. With this, we successfully completed this project.
