In January 2019, we were contacted by a client whose activity is related to the development of software and software applications and the client hired us to a combined trademark as a European Union trademark, which will have an effect on the territory of all EU Member States. We provided the client with all the necessary information related to the registration of a European Union trademark and answered all questions, then identified the goods and services in Classes 9 and 42 of the Nice Classification for which the mark will be filed for registration and proceeded with the preliminary trademark search. After completing the trademark search, we have prepared a written legal analysis containing the results of the preliminary search. Next, we filed the mark for registration and paid the state fee to the EUIPO. The application successfully passed the examination on absolute grounds for refusal and was published in the official bulletin. After a few months, the mark was registered, with which we successfully completed this project.
