In December 2018, we were contacted by a client with whom we have worked on several other projects over the past year. The client has assigned us the registration of a mark that has used in the past years for services falling in Class 41 of the Nice Classification of Goods and Services. We scheduled a consultation with the client at the law office where we responded to all questions and also provided information on the registration procedure. We conducted a preliminary trademark search and did not identify any risks, and then proceeded with filing the mark for registration at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria. The application successfully passed both the formal expertise and the expertise on absolute grounds for refusal and the application was published in the Bulletin of the Patent Office. No objections and oppositions were filed within the three-month period and the mark was successfully registered after we paid the second installment of the state fee.
