In April 2019 a client contacted us and instructed us to conduct a preliminary trademark search of two words and one combined trademarks. Our client intends to register the marks for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria before the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria. We conducted a preliminary trademark search for each of the trademarks and prepared three detailed legal opinions containing an analysis of the results of the searches conducted. The legal opinions were drafted in English and sent to our client, where similar trademarks have been identified for all of the three marks. Therefore we recommended the client not to these trademarks as there is a possibility an opposition to be filed. Our client has complied with our recommendations.
