In March 2017, a client – an event organizing agency, contacted us and hired us to register a national trademark which is already used in its activities in Classes 35, 41 and 43 of the Nice Classification of Goods and Services. We provided the client with materials containing useful information about trademarks and conducted a detailed search of the presence of similar/ identical trademarks. We described the results of the preliminary trademark search in a detailed analysis that was provided to the client, then proceeded with filing the application for registration of the trademark as we had previously selected the relevant services of the above-mentioned classes for which the trademark shall be filled for registration. We filed the documents before the Patent Office and paid the state fee. The trademark passed the expert’s examination on absolute grounds for refusal, was published in the Official Bulletin of the Patent Office and no oppositions and objections were submitted within the given period of time. We also paid the second part of the state fees and the trademark was successfully registered in December 2017. Finally, we provided a registration certificate to the client.
