In June 2016, we were approached by a client, to whom we successfully registered a national trademark in 2015. The client instructed us to record a change in the address of the trademark proprietor. According to Article 40 of the Law on Marks and Geographical Indications, the proprietor or the applicant of a trademark is obliged to notify the Patent Office of any change in its name and address within three months after the change occurs. In fulfillment of this obligation we prepared the necessary documents for the entry of the change of the address of the trademark proprietor, we filed the documents at the Patent Office and paid the state fee. After a few days, the change was successfully recorded and finally, we provided the client with a document certifying this change.
