In October 2017, a client offering language courses, with whom we had previously worked on other projects, contacted us and commissioned us to carry out a preliminary trademark search of a trademark for goods and services in Classes 16 and 41 of the Nice Classification of Goods and Services. The search was conducted for the territory of all European Union member states. After conducting the trademark search in the databases, it appeared that the client could safely register the trademark because no similar and/or identical earlier trademarks were found. In addition, the sign is distinctive and will successfully pass the expertise on absolute grounds for refusal.
