In January 2016 we were contacted by a client who hired us to conduct in-depth research regarding the past and prospective changes in the Bulgarian financial regulatory framework concerning the consumer lending companies. The main focus of the report we have drafted was to identify the relevant regulatory framework in the area of consumer loans and the changes in the financial legislation in the past twelve months that have an impact on the activities of the consumer lending companies.
The first part of the report contains a detailed list, a short description and the changes in the past 12 months of the relevant Bulgarian and European financial legislation related to non-banking financial institutions whose main scope of activities is lending consumer loans.
The second part of the report lists all other legal acts that are relevant to the activities of a consumer lending company in Bulgaria and can influence the company as an entity doing business in the country, like Legislation related to the electronic commerce, advertising, and electronic documents and signatures; Legislation Related to the Formation and Incorporation of the Company; Legislation Related to Intellectual Property; Legislation Related to the Registration as a Data Controller; Employment Legislation; Legislation Related to Contract Law; Legislation Related to Resolving of Conflicts; Accounting Laws and Regulations; Legislation Related to Protection of Competition.
