In January 2018, our client who will produce energy drinks and with whom we have worked on previous projects contacted us and hired us to research the relevant legislation and prepare a written report in which to provide information on:
- The mandatory requirements laid down in Ordinance 47 from the 28th of December on requirements for food supplements, namely:
– Requirements for notification to the Regional Inspectorate for Protection and Control of Public Health (RIPCPH);
– Requirements for the use of ingredients in food supplements;
– Labeling requirements;
– Principles for selling and marketing of energy shots.
- The requirements of Regulation 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the provision of food information to consumers.
- The requirements of the Food Law, namely:
– Requirements for food packaging, labeling, presentation, and advertising;
– Registration of a food production facility;
– Obligations for food producers;
– Official food controls.
The report was prepared within the agreed time limit and the necessary information was provided to the client.
