In December 2016 we were contacted by a client operating in the fashion industry who hired us to carry out a preliminary trademark search of two trademarks with which he wanted to designate the goods he would like to produce, namely: clothing. The client provided us with two-word elements, which will be later stylized graphically. After having conducted thorough research in the databases and analyzed the results, we found out that there have been filed for registration as well as registered similar trademarks for similar goods. We prepared a written statement containing an analysis of the results of our preliminary search and advised the client not to develop either of the two marks, but rather to come up with a different name to indicate the goods he would like to produce.
