At the end of 2018, a client with whom we had previously worked on another project contacted us. Our client has developed an online platform and has assigned us the registration of a developed logo as a mark that will have an effect on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. For this purpose, the Office at which the application for registration of the mark will be filed at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria. We have selected the relevant services for which the mark will be used in Classes 35 and 36 of the Nice Classification and conducted a preliminary trademark search which is an essential part of the trademark registration service. As a result of the preliminary search, no risks were identified and we proceeded with filing the application for registration of the mark at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria. The state fee was paid and the mark successfully passed the examination on absolute grounds for refusal and was published in the Official Bulletin of the Patent Office. No objections and no oppositions were submitted within the three month period. The next step in the registration process is a payment of the second installment of the state fee, after which the mark was successfully registered. Finally, we received the certificate for registration of the mark and provided it to the client, with which we successfully completed the registration procedure.
