In March 2019 a client with whom we have worked on a number of projects over the past few years contacted us. The client provided us with ten-word marks for which we had to conduct a preliminary trademark search for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. Our client wishes to register a mark falling within Class 44 of the Nice Classification. We conducted a preliminary trademark search and found out that all marks would successfully pass the expertise on absolute grounds for refusal, but only three of the provided ten names do not violate any earlier prior rights. We provided the results of the preliminary search to the client and advised him to develop one of the three marks that do not violate any earlier rights.
