In March 2018, we were contacted by a client – a real estate agent who assigned us to register a national trademark for the services in Class 36 of the Nice Classification of Goods and Services. Firstly, we provided the client with useful information about trademarks and explained the nature of the registration process. We filled the necessary documents and entered them electronically, then we paid the state fee. In about two months, the application for trademark registration was published in the Official Bulletin of the Patent Office because the trademark is distinctive and has passed the expertise on absolute grounds for refusal. No objections and oppositions were filed within the three month period, after which we paid the second part of the state fee and the trademark was successfully registered in September 2018. Finally, we handed the official security document, namely: the trademark registration certificate to the client.
