In September 2017, a client with whom we have worked on other projects before contacted us. The client provided us with fifteen-word trademarks for which we shall carry out a preliminary trademark search, as he intends to develop and register a trademark to designate the goods he will produce, namely: soft drinks. Non- alcoholic beverages are classified in Class 32 of the International Classification of Goods and Services. Our client intends to register the trademark as a European Union trademark. We conducted the search and it turned out that only one of the proposed trademarks did not violate any earlier rights and we recommended that the client develop this mark. We described the results from the search in an analysis that we provided to the client.
