In September 2018, a client contacted us and hired us to carry out a preliminary trademark search for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria of a wordmark for services in Class 35 of the Nice Classification of Goods and Services, namely: sale of goods. The purpose of the preliminary trademark search is to check whether at the time of the search there are filed for registration or registered similar and/or identical trademarks with effect on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria for sale of goods. After the trademark search, we have conducted in the databases, we have found that no similar and/or identical earlier marks were identified. We drafted a written report containing an analysis of the results we have found. We have also analyzed in the report whether the sign falls within the scope of Article 11 of the Law on Marks and Geographical Indications, which regulates the absolute grounds for refusal for registration of a mark.
