In May 2016 our client, a manufacturer of cosmetics, with whom we have worked on other previous projects contacted us and assigned us to prepare a written report containing a comprehensive information after examining the relevant legislation on the labeling requirements of cosmetic products as well as other requirements under the Regulation (EU) 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and Council on cosmetic products.
In connection with the provision of the necessary information and the drafting of the report, we have carefully researched the following legal acts, namely:
- Regulation (EU) №1223 of 2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cosmetic products.
- Consumer Protection Act.
- Ordinance №14 of 28 July 2014 laying down detailed rules for the presentation of the information under Art. 19, par. 4 of Regulation (EU) №1223/2009 on cosmetic products, requirements for the efficacy of sunscreen cosmetic products and chemical methods for checking the composition of cosmetic products.
- Ordinance on labeling requirements for non-food goods.
- Ordinance on prepacked products.
- Ordinance on Packaging and Packaging Waste.
- Ordinance on the labeling of aerosol vials and their requirements.
The report was prepared within the agreed timeframe and the client was provided with all the necessary information on the labeling of cosmetic products as well as other requirements under Regulation (EU) 1223/2009 on cosmetic products.
