Many trademarks have been registered over the years and more and more applications for trademarks are submitted with the development of the market economy. This often leads to conflict of interests between different competitors and is the main reason for the development of the service TRADEMARK WATCH. When an application for registration of a trademark is submitted, the Patent Office as well as the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market do not examine whether identical or similar trademarks exist. This is why the service TRADEMARK WATCH is very useful for every owner of a trademark in order to file an opposition if third party tries to register identical or similar to his trademark.
By subscribing to the service TRADEMARK WATCH the following Bulletins will be monitored:
- Bulletin of the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria – regarding the Bulgarian applications;
- Bulletins of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) – regarding Community trademarks;
- Bulletins of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) – regarding applications for international trademarks, valid on the territory of Republic of Bulgaria.
If an application for registration of identical or similar to the watched trademark is published in one of the bulletins cited above, you will be notified by receiving of a report containing information about: the applicant, the mark, the goods and services, recommended actions that can be undertaken.
